Mexican Picadillo

Do you know what is Picadillo?
Picadillo means Hash, but not the same. Picadillo is a “Mexican traditional” dish whose main ingredient is Ground beef, is prepared differently way throughout Mexico although Picadillo is known in other countries in Latin America.

This traditional Mexican dish is very multifaceted, look, it can be served with beans, rice, corn or flour tortilla like tacos, tostadas , gorditas , sopes , burritos , chips / nachos, empanadas, so many options! So you decide.
I have been changing over time the recipe, I changed some ingredients and added others, so if you know another Picadillo recipe, pass it on! ( I like to try different picadillo recipes.

{Yesterday evening I uploaded a picadillo picture on my Instagram account (@likeinmexico ) and my younger brother (Eduardo) ask me about this recipe, so here is the recipe Carnal (brother in Mexican slang) Step by step as you asked}

    I’ve never had Mexican Picadillo without potatoes and it is DEEELISH with potatoes. And your last pic looks like it has potatoes – does it? In English, the definition of hash typically includes potatoes, so give us a recipe with potatoes! 😛 I’ll be making an adapted version of your recipe with that jewel of an ingredient. Great post!
